The Emerald Society has public offices in the College of the Patricians in Old Coryan. This has been useful in the past, for while the public eye is on the main branch of the Society in the Great College of Grand Coryan, the Old Coryan branch can carry out their business in a more clandestine fashion. It is through this branch that the Emerald Society now contacts you about a situation arising in Old Coryan.
For the last several months artifacts, Auxunite in nature, have been slowly trickling into the Old Coryan market. While the Society is leaping at the chance to acquire such artifacts, they are questioning why they should suddenly begin appearing in Old Coryan. Agents were dispatched to track the artifacts down, but the trail became muddled as it entered the River Quarter of Old Coryan.
Even more tantalizing is the revelation that some of these supposedly Auxunite items are, in fact, of recent manufacture, indicating that a group is practicing the Ancient Auxunite ways.
Rumors of a disturbance in Rivertown have brought the perfect opportunity to slip an agent into the normally Cafelan controlled area to scout around. If any Auxunite artifacts, or any evidence of modern Auxunite practices, are found, you are to return them to your superior immediately.
