There are those who see the Mourners in Silence as dangerous,
heretical. Those who believe we are violent terrorists. This is not so.
They simply wish to bring enlightenment to the world, and show them
the truth – that the Gods can and should no longer affect them. Part of
this involves removing the oppression that forces humanity to worship
the Gods. But the other part involves spreading the word of truth. For
some time a Mourner in Silence agent has been active in the lower
class of Old Coryan, spreading the truth. Those he deals with are poor,
disillusioned, and fully realize that the so-called comfort of the Mother
Church is a lie.
Recently the Inquisition has dispatched one of its finest
cleansers, Tedaris val’Mehen, a hateful, violent creature, into Old
Coryan. You have been contacted by your cell leader, who has heard
that you will soon be going to Old Coryan yourself. You are to make
contact with the Mourner agent, who will be expecting you, and assist
him in any way you can, until the Inquisition is dealt with.
He will identify himself with the code phrase, “What are your intentions,” to which you must reply, “I intend to uncover secrets.”
Goal: Make contact with the Mourner agent in Rivertown, and follow his instructions.
