Dearest Cousin!
One of our dear family friends is in some trouble. They have requested your presence to travel to visit this friend in Paris. Our favorite Aunt agrees, and has made arrangements for you to travel there.
However, she cautions that our family has many issues of its own that keep it busy, and advises you to carefully consider the decision whether to get our family involved. If need be, feel free to telegram for advice on the issue. For telegram purposes, our friend shall be known as “Mr. James Candle”.
Please meet with your Uncle Chambard, at the train station at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, May 25th.
